AAEJ Archives Online

The documents in the AAEJ Archives Online are housed in Google Drive.

  • The Documents are arranged by Folders.
  • Each folder has a title such as "AAEJ Advocacy Materials," "Prisoners of Zion," and so on.
  • Each Folder contains a list of searchable PDF documents related to the title of the Folder.
  • In the search field, type in the words you want to search for, such as Ambober, Gondar, Sudan or Mengistu. Try different spellings as many reports and articles used various English spellings for Amharic words. For example, Addis Ababa is frequently spelled Addis Abeba.

Many more documents from the AAEJ are housed at the American Jewish Historical Society (AJHS) in New York City. To see an index to these documents, please click here. While the AJHS is gradually digitizing and putting documents online, the majority are available only by going to the AJHS reading room. It is open to the public and free, and a wonderful repository of Jewish history.
